Frequently asked questions
What makes a caravan a true off-road caravan?
Independent off-road suspension (Tuffride or Cruisemaster), a 6-inch truss chassis, an off-road articulating hitch, underbody protection, mud-terrain tyres and a body built to handle corrugations. The WC-R and above are full off-road; the WC-S and WC-S II are semi-off-road.
What is the ATM of a Wildtrail off-road caravan?
Up to 4,400kg ATM on the V-Spec and V-Spec II. ATM varies by layout, length and options, and your tow vehicle's rating always applies — we check this during the design sit-down.
Can I take a Wildtrail on the Gibb River Road?
Yes. Wildtrail owners have towed WC-R, V-Spec and V-Spec II vans on the Gibb River Road, the Oodnadatta Track and other remote routes. See the On The Road page for owner trips.
